And just like that, another year of performing food allergy awareness shows at schools has come to a close. It’s quite the long haul at times, but I am lucky that I get to have a day job 4 days a week which I love, and be able to do one performance a week at a school. I started the very first week of the school year, and only had a handful of Mondays off right until mid-June. The allergy and anaphylaxis information I present has stayed very consistent over the past few school years, but I am presenting it in an ever evolving way that seems to be engaging the audience more and more.
When I first started performing at schools 3 years ago, I never would have dreamed that I would still have opportunities to perform for more than a month or so. I am truly lucky and loving every moment of connecting with kids and sharing the message of food allergy awareness and keeping friends safe. It’s very true that I do what I love, and I love what I do!
